No celebration

Pappy and I didn't celebrate Des's birthday this year cos whenever we suggested, yes, it was just a suggestion, to celebrate, she would be having fever, flu and would be coughing her head off. So we were not in the least surprised – she WAS sick before her birthday .... sigh .... This 'jinx' has been like dat since she was a year old. Hmmmmm ..... maybe in future we should celebrate her birthday a week before or after her actual birthday.

However, she celebrated with her little classmates in school on Friday, 8th August. I prepared party packs, jellies and cupcakes for her 21 classmates.

The party packs

Inside the party packs

Orange cupcakes topped with chocolate and coloured 'rice'

Orange flavoured jellies with longan and nata de coco

Des with the cupcakes

Des with the jellies

Her simple birthday cake

The Dora figurine fell onto the cake and got 'muddy'
all over (heehee)

Des waiting to blow the candles

Des with her birthday cake

Present from her best friend classmate, Ainatul

Ah preggie leng lui, shouldn't u be in bed by now?

Des has this year to keep her hair long cos next year when she's in Primary 1, the school doesn't allow girls to spot long hair.

Oh poor girl... hope she was much better on her actual b'day.
I love ur party pack! So many nice food n drink! N ur cupcakes n jellies r so lovely! I'm sure her classmates enjoyed everything.
As for the 'muddy' Dora, she's more realistic that way. How to be squeaky clean when u're on a continuous adventure? hehehe

Not only Des's classmates commented the cakes and jellies were delicious, even her class teacher called me and told me they were tasty. *must praise if not no more food next time* heehee.

Haha, ya hor, Dora's supposed to be an adventurous girl.

Magicgree
Ya ya, I made the cupcakes and the jellies.

Jess
Des loves cupcakes, so I tried and made them instead of buying a cake for her.

Ni
I din put cupcakes and jellies into Qin's and Wei's pack cos I know u are better baker than me, don't want to '丢脸' mah.

Ni ah Ni, it's loyal supporter of China. Never mind, we all learn thru mistakes – 活到老学到老。

Jacss
Ya lor, I don't know why. Maybe she's 'pantang' lar. Might as well not celebrate until she's older.

Michelle
A lot meh? I can even pack more. I love giving party packs to kids. heehee

Hahaha, tempted u leh?

The cupcakes were nothing compared to the 'experts'. Dat was my 1st attempt on making them and luckily they came out much to my delight. Just follow everything from the book but minus some grams of sugar and simply 'dump' some chocolate and coloured rice onto the top cos I didn't really know how to frost or decorate the cakes. Heehee.
