Genting Trip
a
Went to Genting on the 19th till 21st May with Pappy, Destinee and Marsiti. It was Destinee's 3rd and Marsiti's 2nd trip. It's best to go on weekdays to avoid the long long queues. Not only have to queue for games and rides but for food too. We need not wait long for our turns and managed to play most of the games and sit on all the rides many many times (for the sake of Des).
Destinee at the Lift Lobby of the First World Hotel. Riding on the Monorail.View of outside taken from inside of monorail (See the pink monorail on the bottom left?). This is the most worthwhile ride of all – a trip round the whole of Genting.Pappy & Destinee on the Gondola. Des was scared of the gondolier cos Des said Uncle was very 'yuk suin' (ugly). She didn't know dat the Uncle gondolier was a dummy (heehee).
Des: "Ahhhh!!! Don't leave me alone, I might fall." Des: "Since nobody's aiding me, might as well get hold of the pole tight tight."
Mommy and Des on the Rio Float.
Des wanted to enter the Snow World so eagerly when we passed by the glass pane. We could look into the Snow House from outside the glass pane. She kept mentioning the whole day dat she wanted to go into the Snowman (cos she saw the Snowman and I guess she didn't know the difference between Snowman and Snow World) but Pappy didn't allow on the first and second day for fear dat she could not endure the cold. On the third day, Des wanted to go into the Snow House so much so dat when I woke her up early in the morning, she was still saying, with her eyes closed, "I want to go to Snowman" (heehee, wonder if she was dreaming the whole nite). "Okay", I said, "we are going to the Snow World soon". Immediately she opened her eyes wide (haiya, dat girl of mine). So, off we went to have our breakfast and to the Snow World.
We had to pay RM16 each for Pappy and me, RM14 for Des. Children under 3 are not allowed in. We were not allowed to bring anything esp. cameras, handphones or cigarettes into the Snow House. There were lockers (50 sen x 2) outside the entrance for us to keep our belongings. Des was shivering as she entered the house but refused to go out after persuading her. The gloves were far too big and there were no size-fitting shoes for her, she had to wear her own Hello Kitty sports shoes. Pappy felt cold too but I was perspiring. Why? I had to carry Des as she refused to walk in the snow and I had to hug her and get her near to one of the lamps to give her the 'warmth'. Her gloves were falling every now and then and I had to put them back for her. Where was Pappy? He was enjoying himself and was exploring the place on his own ... haiya ....
After the 'shivering' experience, I will purposely ask Des every now and then whether she wants to go into the Snow House again, she will answer with a loud "NO! Very cold cold, Yau Yau brrr....brrr....brrrr....". Hahaha, dat taught her a lesson for being persistent.
Inside the Snow House Another part in the Snow House. Dat's the Snowman Des saw from outside glass pane.
a
Eee? What is this doing here? Looks familiar? Oh yes, dat was the Snowman Des drew. She wondered why Snowman has no ears, hands and legs. After drawing the snowman, she added the ears, hands and legs to it.

On behalf Pappy, thank u very muchie for the B'day wishes.
Vien:
Oops, u noticed the 'boon tin diu' pants? *blush blush* Actually wanted her to wear another pair of jeans but she insisted on wearing dat. Treat dat as a 3/4 length pants, okay? heehee.
Oh yes, no cameras were allowed into the Snow House. Those two were taken by the cameraman (appointed by Genting kua) inside the Snow House which cost us RM28 for a big and small (forgot what Rs they call) with no touching up. Took my camera and snapped and transferred into the computer - dat's it. Easy, isn't it?
Egghead:
I've tried some of the outdoor GILA games before ie first and the last time for me. Nearly got heart attack leh.
Ya lor, must take Des to try the outdoor games, guess will be more exciting.
Zara's mama:
Oh, not necessarily dat u hafta to wear their jackets if u have ur own. I saw ppl wearing their own beautiful fitting jackets and gloves. We weren't prepared so we had no choice. We wore our own shoes. No worries, the jackets were not smelly. Saw them putting into the machine to dry wash.
Heehee, I like the drawing too. She's getting better with her drawings. At least can make out what's she drawing now.
Sue:
It was our first visit to the Snow House and I'm pretty sure I'm making a go-back to the house cos I din really explore dat day.
Rachel:
Oh really? So next time when it is Gong Gong's birthday, u'll remember it's Pappy's birthday too, heehee.
Oh ya, true true, can experience snowing here too. They had this machine something like a chute and they blow the snowflakes out from there and can feel dat it's snowing.
Actually 3 yrs old pun boleh masuk lar cos they don't really check. I saw a Malay woman carrying a few months old baby in too. But u have to make sure ur kids esp. Alvan is BUNDLED up before he goes in. It's really cold inside. U know what, they have a complimentary ice-cream/vitagen for each ticket too. Siao wan. We took the vitagen.
Weiiii..tarak blog bout Pappy b'day keh?
Happy Belated Birthday Pappy!
Snow House seem fun but the temp they set it too low hor! In fact in Europe country during snowing time, not really tat cold ler! If got chance u go and experience it!
Des drawing getting neat and clear now! can tell what she draw now! Good Work!
Rachel:
No celebration wor. Dat Pappy is not into all these. Wanted to buy a cake for him oso he didn't want. But the past years I've buying him presents until I don't know what to buy.
Jess:
Ya, I'm sure we could have more fun if not for Destinee. It was cold, -3°. So, the next time, I'm going to make sure we are well prepared - BUNDLE Destinee up - before we enter.
Haha, thanks, now at least no more drawings of Aliens but aiya, sometimes still depends on her mood.
Looks like you have a good family outing!
Happy Belated Birthday to Pappy.
I think i'm really outdated, now only i know Genting got his snow house.
Michelle:
Oh yes, we had a wonderful family outing and it's not easy for Pappy to make this type of family outings except going out for groceries on Sundays (sigh).
Hui Sia:
Actually we had been browsing the Genting website so we knew there was such a thing called the Snow World in Genting.
There's another one in The Mines Wonderland. I had been there too. They don't provide the shoes and gloves here, only jackets. Dat time I went, I wasn't prepared too and went in with my sandals and u can imagine how cold it was. When my feet touched the snow on the ground, all I wanted to do was to find the EXIT - I was shivering deep inside and could hear my teeth chattering. I didn't bother to look where I was going, I just wanted to GET OUT from there!
It was a good experience. Like what Rachel said, we can experience without going overseas to feel what and how snowing is like.
Happy Belated Birthday to Des' Pappy! :)
Looks like you had an enjoyable time in Genting, especially the snow world...was the snow real?? how does it feel huh? me very 'sua ku' lah...;p
Blurblur:
Oh yes, we had a very enjoyable time in Genting. The snow is man-made but looks very real. Heehee, u and I are not 'sua ku' lah. It's just dat we've not been to such a place.
My BIL (pappy's brother) and wife will usually make a trip to Genting whenever they come back from S'pore. Hei, why not u and ur family have a vacation in Genting? (sorry, don't know whether u've been to Genting or not)
Nice trip ler!! Your gal drawing so nice :)
Last year we been there, my son also want to enter the snow world but it not allowed children below 3 yo so we didt go in. Maybe this time i'll call 1+2dad bring him in.
I think i'll try it next year or year later cause need to takecare the gals.
At outdoor not much game suitable for the small kids so we decided not go in this time. We prefer indoor game and my kids like it very much.
Snow house?? you mean Genting have a snow house.. WOw,, the last time I went to Genting was 7 years ago when I visited my brother and sister.
Big changes ar,,
Your daughter Des look very tall for her age ler,,
wei, your Des really good on drawing lar, the snowman so cute, luckily you mangaed to took a picture :D.
eh, I am going genting on 12th and 13th next month, YEAH!
1+2 mom:
Ya, I do prefer to let Des enjoy the indoor games more too cos feel dat they are safer.
Blogie-Talkie:
Wow 7 years ago? Dat was indeed a long time ago. Oh yes, everything's changed now, even within a year u've not been there, some of the things will be different too.
Yes, yes, there is a Snow House (Snow World) in Genting but the coldness in there is 'sap sap sui' (teeny weeny matter) to u and Brayden lar.
Des may looks tall in the photos but actually she's a very small-sized girl in person. Her cousin brother who is a year younger is taller than her leh.
Maria:
Aiya, Des draws depending on her mood. If she's moody, she'll be drawing aliens and scribbling again.
Haiya, why are u going on the 12-13th leh? I've booked on the 10th-11th lar. Or else we can meet there.
Tip: If u intend to go to Snow World, u can book ur tickets online - cheaper by RM2 per ticket and there's a mystery gift too.
why des look so serious in her photos ah?
Never been to Genting before...actually planned to go in June, but too bad hubby can't seem to arrange a date...he's got to work on some weekends...no choice..gotta wait..never mind..will definitely go one day! ;)
Happy belated birthday wish to ur hubby. Wah..so nice. I was planning to go there too but have to wait for hubby to be free. I wanted to bring Keith there on his 1st trip n my countless trip.hehe

Jazzmint:
Aiyo ya hor, didn't notice dat she was so serious looking leh. But dunno why she seldom smile in front of the camera. Maybe her smile is very 'jik chin' (expensive), heeheehee.
Blurblur:
Oh sure, Welcome, Welcome. U and ur family can go there any time when u are free. Don't worry, Genting will always be waiting for u and ur family.
Sabrina:
Ya, ya, ya, take Keith there. I'm sure he'll enjoy the kiddy rides.
Ah.. Genting's always a fun place for children. Love Destinee's drawing.. Neat and in every little detail (got button some more)
J:
Ooops, very sorry, do I know u as J (LS's mommy), June or Jason (Jason Mumbles) or ..... *cracking brain*?
Oh, of course Genting's a very wonderful place for children and adults too (heehee, bet u know what I mean ... neh the casino lor).
Hahaha, ya lor, I was surprised she added the ears, legs, hands and even buttons. One of my frens told me dat the hat looks like a little turban? Kakakakaka.
