Des is sick

Des is sick, so what's so unusual? She's really sick. U see, when she's sick, she will still be as active, even after taking her medicine, she will still be running, jumping, skipping and playing. But today, my girl has no mood for anything.
a
As usual she went to school in the morning. When she came back, as I was getting her out from Auntie's car, she told me she was very 'ng she fuk' (not feeling well, not comfortable) and felt cold, I touched her forehead, haiyo, it was HOT! She was coughing for the past few days but no fever.
a
Normally when she comes home from school, she'll have her lunch, then her bath, then does her homework. But today, when she came home, she doesn't want anything (told me she was not hungry) went to the sofa straightaway and slept as I was getting her porridge from the kitchen. I didn't disturb her and let her rest.
a
When she woke up, she didn't feel like taking her porridge so I gave her milk instead. She had no appetite, she drank half of the milk I made. After drinking her milk, I gave her her medicine and after which she wanted to do her homework! (told Sasha at Skype dat my girl has become a schoolaholic). She felt sleepy after finishing her homework and went to sleep after I placed the mattress on the floor in the hall. She's definitely not her usual self today. Normally when she's sick (touch wood, touch wood, she doesn't fall sick often), even after having her medicine, she's still as active and talkative. But for the rest of the day today and the very first time, she was like dat – slept, woke up, slept, woke up (don't know how many times).
a
I asked her whether she wants to go to school tomorrow, she answered "YES" and told me she has Chinese spelling test. *slap head*

Definitely not a good idea to go to school if one is having fever. Take care Des! She's so responsible ya! Still want to worry abt her spelling test! At least you know you don't have to worry about her education.

Take care Des. I am sure she'll be fine. Adults also feel the same way when we were sick. Sometime when it's not too serious, we're still energetic. SOmetimes when the cough n fever comes together, that's when we feel very tired.DOn't worry, let her rest more and she'll be better.

Dear all,
Thank u so muchie. Des was up and back to her normal active self again the next day.

Etcetera mommy
Din take her to the paed, went to the paed's clinic to buy the usual medicine only.

Vien
Des is not at all kan cheong but it's mommy who's kan cheong whenever there's a spelling test. I din allow her to go to the school the next day.

Shannon
Her fever subsided the next day but she's still coughing.

Hui Sia
I always get Des to prepare herself for the next day's school work and maybe she got used to it and so she will want me to revise with her on her reading before she goes to sleep.

Jesslyn
Ya ya, I made her stay at home the next day and she had enough rest.

Magictree
Haiyo, where have u been? U've been MIA for quite some time and only recently updated ur blog. No need to worry about her education? U think I need not? Hard luck. I worry every day ... sigh ...

Jacss
True dat when one's sick, rest is the best medicine.

Sabrina
Yes, yes, she had enough rest the next day and back to her normal energetic self again.

Blurblur
Hei, how are u? Haven't heard from u for quite some time.

Ya, I did monitor her fever the whole nite, checked on her every now and then dapped her forehead with a wet face towel. My 'hard work' was paid off when she was okay the next morning.

Dinah
Oh yes, she finished her homework and luckily there were not much dat day. I hope she'll continue to be 'responsible'.

Sue
I don't see her stressing cos she told me she likes to go to school. I think I'm the one who's stressed ... sigh ...

Jazz
Rajin or not rajin, I'll know in the future but for the time being, she's okay. She said she enjoys going to school as she has so many friends now and the teachers are 'hou hou' (good good).

Jessie
Thanks. It was not HFMD. She was okay and 'kicking' the next day oredi lor.

Ginie
Ya ya, I was a bit worried cos when she was sick, she was still as active but dat day she was very sick until she had no appetite and no mood for anything. She recovered oredi but still coughing occasionally.

Eva
She was really sick dat day but she was back to normal oredi.

Wei, wei, Maggie has installed msn.
